WESTON, Wis. (WAOW) -- Elementary school students in Central Wisconsin are making a difference in their community as a part of Be Amazing Day.

The Weston Elementary Be Amazing Club is living up to their name, and raked leaves so their neighbors wouldn't have to.

The group gathered after school, and got to work on the yards across from the school.

Many would have called off the event due to the cold and rain, but the group said no, and picked up their rakes.

The message is to be kind to others, and they'll do the same.

Weston Elementary School fourth and fifth graders said, "Maybe they don't have the time to rake the leaves, so we want to be extra kind and do it for them."

This isn't the only event the group is doing. But it is their first project.

They'll also be doing some events upcoming with veterans.
