A man was found dead Thursday morning at a Lehi construction worksite on 1200 West near Timpanogos Highway, where his body was pinned against a forklift, the Lehi Fire Department said.
According to a press release, the wife of the man found deceased discovered that he hadn’t returned home from work Thursday morning.
While searching for him, she went to the construction site located, where she and construction crew members assisting her found his body just before 11:30 a.m.
“He was found pinned against a forklift boom truck,” the release stated.
Officials say it appears that he passed away overnight.
The Lehi Fire Department, along with various agencies from across Utah County including the Utah County Special Response Team, worked to recover the man’s body from the construction equipment.
As of 1 p.m. Thursday, crews were still on-scene at the site.
Lehi officials say it’s unclear at this point how the man, who has not been identified, became trapped.
Spokesperson Jeanteil Livingston said more information may be released as it becomes available.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
