As the summer months plough on, our weekends and evenings are ever-filled with al fresco get togethers, picnics and dinner parties.

Obviously, an essential part of any these events is a selection of chilled drinks. Whether that's your favourite bottle of rosé, a zesty Sauvy B or a lovely bottle of something low and no.

Any chilled beverage needs a cooler or ice bucket, because you deserve better than a slowly warming bottle of wine to pair with your lovingly prepared BBQ.

People on TikTok have been taking this very seriously with the latest tableware trend - an ice bucket made of... Ice.

Yes, ice. While this might seem at best impractical and at worst actually impossible, people are doing it and they look absolutely gorgeous.

Videos creating these beautiful ice buckets from foodies, interiors experts and DIY fanatics have been cropping all over the platform, and they actually look pretty easy to achieve.

To make one of these ice buckets, you're going to need a large bucket, then a slightly smaller bucket, vase or even a big jar.

You then place the smaller vessel inside the larger one and arrange your choice of decoration around the outside. You could use flowers, foliage or even citrus fruits and herbs (just make sure to use them for syrups, garnishes or leftover herb pesto afterwards).

The next step is to pour water in the gap between the smaller and larger vessels slowly, making sure the decorations are evenly distributed.

You then need to freeze the whole thing. The only snag is that you need to have quite a lot of freezer space to make room for the ice bucket.

To release the bucket, the videos show DIYers running the whole thing under some warm water until it easily slides out of the larger bucket.

And that's it! We recommend you use a plate or bowl underneath the ice bucket to catch water as it melts, but otherwise you've got a super aesthetically pleasing bucket that's really easy to make.
